Go on the Virgin Galactic website and you’ll see a link that invites you to “Become an astronaut”. Wow!  What a world we live in, or in this case what a world we can see from 50 miles high.
The first flight of Richard Branson’s Unity 22 spacecraft has taken Britain’s leading entrepreneur to the very edge of space: “We are at the vanguard of a new industry determined to pioneer twenty-first century spacecraft, which will open space to everybody.– Sir Richard Branson.
What a dream, what a vision!
And these were goals that Branson set himself when he was SEVEN years old – now that’s planning!
Now you can take the view that space will only ever be available for the elite – “That will never happen to me; I’d never be able to afford that; People like us could never do something like that” and you can come up with a thousand reasons of Blame, Excuse and Denial (BED) why that will be the case.
Or you can choose to get out of your BED, and take Ownership, Accountability and Responsibility (OAR) for defining the visions and goals which will propel you to wherever it is you want to go.
We call this the Point of Power, and we all have to decide which side of the power line we sit – Above in OAR or Below in BED.
Which do you do?
On this Monday, after the lows of England’s defeat in the European Championship, you can let yourself feel down, hide under the covers and stay in BED, or you can paddle your OAR upstream to achieve your own Vision and Goals.
And if you’re thinking to yourself, ‘but I don’t know what my Vision and Goals are’, connect with us, and we will work with you to take the first step towards making working on your business an out of this world experience.
As the old mantra goes, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
With your Vision and Goals in place, you will already be into Action and making it happen.
It’s time we all pressed that link and become astronauts!
